There could be so many reasons behind this issue. The wired or Ethernet connections might not be properly fitted in. The wifi extender’s power LED light should be lit up. Maybe, the extender is not ready and has been reset partially and not in a complete manner. Another reason is that the extender is not near enough the router or the internet connectivity is not good. There may be chances that the router was not configured in the right manner or its firmware is outdated. The reasons that are listed above are only a few which may be causing the "Netgear extender won't connect to router" problem.

If you cannot do Linksys router Login, you must open any of the installed web browsers and navigate to the IP address provided to you. The IP address is 192.168.1.1. Now, on the web interface for your router, you can see the Login page interface. Type the username and password for your Linksys router in the given fields, and then, click-Sign-In button to log in.
Once you’ve signed in to your account with your credentials, you can see the Smart WiFi Tools mentioned in the left panel for your router configuration. Finally, you can easily configure our Linksys router’s web interface.

From your web browser, enter the IP address of the wireless router in the address bar, and then enter the username and password in the Sign-in page.
