For players who never played runescape prior to OSRS
« on: September 07, 2020, 04:05:46 pm »

With nearly all content that I play OSRS not present in rs2, alot of the material I engage in is not completly nostalgic. Do these gamers even exist? In that case, would love to hear about your thoughts and experiences about OSRS gold. What pulled you? Ideas on content? Barriers? What keeps you coming back? Why in the world do you do this on your own?

Any insight would be G. I just started playing the release of graduated and mobile to runelite. Before mobile came out I'd only known about this game for about a year, and just because the dankest memes from this sub kept showing up in my r/all. I had never heard of runescape before. For reference I am 32 so would have been an older teen when rs2 was booming 2005-6 as I know it. The impression I get is that most people here played it in their youth preteen years and came back into it.

So I have no nostalgia for Runescape as such. I seriously only chose to play it because the memes were hot. Once I was in, the addictive dopamine dispenser nature of Runescape snared me to get good. I keep going because at its most basic I like"haha numbers go vroom", but to expand that I have finally gotten to a stage where I could begin doing some bossing and also finishing goals, and I am really enjoying this. Got my qpc recently and on the mill for diaries. Having these aims keeps me going even if some of those temptations are totally dreadful and were likely outdated gameplay even back on rs2 (badly, mage training stadium, what the fuck is this garbage?).

I generally am happy with updates. Having no nostalgia related to Runescape and no expertise with the EOC update or removing free trade and wildy pking and the rest of the controversial changes that drove the previous players away, I find that many times I am in disagreement with a large majority of folks here with respect to proposed articles and upgrades. I'm all for new abilities and modernizing Runescape, but I know why the people with nostalgia for it want to maintain it"oldschool". Im also open minded to abilities from RS3 like dungeoneering and summoning although I never experienced but sound imo that was pretty damn neat. Which is in opposition to most people here who seem to hate them.

As it's Runescape is dull and I feel like you need to be a certain kind of person to really enjoy it. I tell my friends not to buy RuneScape gold try it cause they'll likely hate it. I du kind of a ramble, n no, when there is anything else you wan na na know from my 26, but hey ask away. I've gathered that it's not common.
